Alulore Alulore

Made for staying in

A cozy island of small apps that live on your computer.

Alulore is a village in the mountains by the sea. Every app is a place you can walk to: a study with cards pinned to cork, a loft where things are woven together, and the pier where you arrive. It rains softly. The lamps are lit.

Three places to begin

You install one thing, the Hub. From the pier, paths lead up to every other place.

The ferry pier

Hub

Where you arrive. A small wooden harbor with a lantern lit for every place, and a fox who keeps them.

  • Install and open apps from one friendly page, with an island map to walk around.
  • Updates and rollback. Update an app, or go back to the version before in one click.
  • One search across every app with Ctrl K, forgiving of typos.
  • The shared sky. Season, weather and time of day follow you into every place.
  • The soundscape. Rain, wind and cicadas, heard through each place's walls.
  • Agents and tools access that you switch on, app by app, with a log of every visit.
The Hub at dusk: the island map with every place lit, the shop cat at the Study, and the fox saying "Good evening. I keep the lanterns here."

The Study

Kantera

A kanban board with a red-paper lamp. Cards pinned to cork, rain on the window, a cat on your desk. Where things get done.

  • Columns, and optional rows to sort cards across them like a whiteboard.
  • Cards that open as a sheet with rendered notes, tags and a place for everything.
  • Images and covers. Pin photos to a card and choose one as its cover.
  • Little steps on every card, climbing the scale as you tick them off.
  • The ink stamp and the weekly receipt. Finished cards get a berry seal, and the week becomes a printable receipt.
  • Quick capture. Ctrl Shift Space drops a card into your Inbox from anywhere.
Kantera, a board at rainy dusk with covers, tags, lantern-string step progress, ink-stamped Done cards and the cat asleep on a card.

The Weaving Loft

Loom

The high attic of a thatched farmhouse. Linen, thread and dusk light through the roof. Where pieces from other apps are woven together.

  • Pages and books composed from records of your other apps, such as Kantera cards.
  • Silk threads between related pieces, so you can follow how things connect.
  • Live collections that stay current as the cards behind them change.
  • Ready-made patterns to start a page, and your own to save.
  • Export to Markdown or PDF when a book is ready to leave the loft.

One island, shared

The places are separate programs, but they live under the same sky.

One sky

If it rains in one place, it rains over all of Alulore. The season follows your calendar and the light follows your clock, from late afternoon to night. Never harsh midday.

Spirits

A fox, a shop cat and a silk moth, with crows, wisps and kodama passing through. You can pick them up. They never run away, and a switch makes the island quieter.

One search

Press Ctrl K in the Hub and look across every app at once. Each app keeps its own data and publishes only what you can search.

For agents

AI tools can use the apps through MCP, only if you say so.

Turn on Tools and agents in the Hub and choose, for each app, off, read only or read and act. An assistant can then search your records, add a Kantera card or export a Loom book. Apps that are closed start quietly in the background to answer. Every call lands in a visit log you can read.

claude mcp add alulore -- "<path>\alulore.exe" mcp

The same alulore program is also a command line for scripts. Access is off until you turn it on, and turning it off removes the key.

How updates work

The Hub looks after the other apps, quietly.

  • Each download is checked against its checksum before it is installed.
  • Apps install per user. No administrator rights.
  • The version you had stays beside the new one, so a rollback is one click.
  • Your data lives outside the app packages, and each app backs it up before an upgrade. If you roll back, your data goes back too.
  • Alulore does not send your data anywhere. It stays on your computer.

The kettle's still warm.
